An organization that gathers Spanish scientists plans to buy more than 100 thousand hectares in the Amazonian to create a natural reserve administered for the indigenous communities. According to the responsible for the project, the area would be among the Letícia's Colombian city and the National Park of Amacayacu, located in the border Brazil-Peru and to the margins of the river Amazon. The area, in the which this foreseen the creation of the reserve, possesses 110 species of mammals and 500 of birds.
